Emerald Ace sand-dressed artificial grass provides exceptionally high performance at a very competitive price.
With this style of surface, play takes place on the short, ultra-dense pile of the carpet itself, producing a true, slow bounce especially favoured by stronger club players.
Emerald Ace has a 10mm pile length with no fewer than 56,500 stitches per square metre, which produces a very uniform, responsive court with a positive feel underfoot.
The 'Thiolon Flex' yarn used in the surface increases wear resistance compared with standard polypropylene and reduces susceptibility to 'matting' and the 'speeding up' of the surface in later life. A relatively small amount of sand at the root of the pile provides a stabilising ballast and draws down moisture from the playing surface.
As with other Emerald synthetic grass surfaces, the base is open-textured macadam.
