Emerald NS is a non sand-filled artificial grass surface designed to offer the playing characteristics of a natural grass pitch all year round. It not only resembles grass in its appearance and offers an extremely comfortable surface for players, but is free-draining and highly durable.
Emerald NS has a 14mm pile height and density of 57,950 stitches per square metre. The yarn used in the surface reduces susceptibility to 'matting' and the 'speeding up' of the surface in later life.
The Emerald NS surface is lubricated with water, rather than having a sand-infill. This results in a faster surface with more consistent ball-bounce and greater comfort for players. The addition of a specialised irrigation system ensures the adequate watering and drainage of the surface for match play conditions.
The addition of our specialist rubber shockpad underneath the surface provides the desired ball-bounce characteristics necessary for a variety of sports. This seamless in-situ polymeric rubber shockpad also offers a greater degree of player comfort and safety.
The Emerald NS surface and shockpad is laid on a base of open-textured macadam to ensure free drainage.
