Sports Surfaces Ireland was established by Ed Crawford in 1992. Since then the company has grown in strength and stature, and has become a market leader in the design, construction and installation of sports and play facilities.

Steadily expanding the company moved in 2000 to new purpose-built premises in Ballymena, County Antrim. In 2009 our Wexford office was opened to service our rapidly expanding customer base in the Republic of Ireland.

Sports Surfaces Ireland is a dynamic, forward-looking company committed to bringing innovations in sports surfaces and playground equipment to our customers. We make use of materials and designs generated from both within the British Isles, mainland Europe and America. New developments in sports technology have enabled us to bring one of the first polymeric tennis and multi-use surfaces to Ireland.

Customer concerns over safety in children's play surfaces have enabled us to bring a wetpour rubber impact absorbing surface to Ireland - Total Play surfacing. This satisfies every current European safety standard, as well as offering a bright, durable and attractive surface for playgrounds of all sizes and themes.

From conception to completion Sports Surfaces Ireland provides a full technical back-up service to ensure that each project completes on time, to specification and within budget, delivering a top quality, professionally installed facility every time.

Anyone with a specific project in mind can avail of our free estimate, site survey, design and quotation service. This enables our customers to fully cost and plan projects, turning their ideas into reality.

We have strong working relationships with our customers and provide effective after sales support and advice once a project has been completed. We stress the importance of safety and quality of workmanship and have a dedicated and highly skilled staff.

Staff

• Ed Crawford, Managing Director, has 30 years experience in the construction industry and was involved in the introduction of the first synthetic hockey surface to Northern Ireland.
• James Anderson, Contracts Director, has 25 years experience in the construction industry and will assist with any technical queries.
• Peadar Murphy, Sales Director, is based in our Wexford office and will be happy to service any sales enquiries in the Republic of Ireland
• David Crawford, Graham Stephens and Damian Crawford are our Contracts Managers and will help with any project-related issues
• Louise Crawford is our General Manager and will help with any credit, account or other administration enquiries
• David Harvey is our Marketing Manager and will be happy to answer any enquiries on design, pricing and technical matters
• Grace Boyd, Sales Executive, is based in our Ballymena office and will be happy to service any sales enquiries in Northern Ireland
• Judith McAnespie (Ballymena) and Vivien Fennell (Wexford) are our sales and marketing co-ordinators and will be delighted to process any enquiries on any of our products and services
• Angela Holmes is our Accountant and will help with any accounting or credit control issues
• Noeleen Davidson is our Office Manager and will assist with any administrative queries
